Evolve!

Evolve! is a program designed to provide K-12 educators with all the supplies and information needed to conduct experimental evolution in their classrooms.  Using the contact form below, instructors may request a free Evolve! kit, which includes a small population of experimental animals, rearing medium for those animals, 3D printed rearing chambers, and an instruction manual detailing animal care and suggested classroom experiments. In addition, the instruction manual contains contact information for logistical support and advisory on experimental setup and interpretation of results. Current Evolve! kits are focused on the evolution of animal dispersal and use on the red flour beetle, Tribolium castaneum (below, right, image: U.Schmidt, 26.VIII.1983), as a model system.
